Antonello della Mura.. elegance in Positano..

Antonello Della Mura
36, V. Del Saracino – 84017 Positano

Tucked away under the narrow white archways, past all the pretty local fashion is Antonello’s cool, elegant, sophisticated and exclusive boutique!

I am mad about ‘la moda’,  flowing and silky, for the beach or an evening dining out, Positano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast has an abundance of casual local shopping, mainly the style is informal beach or lounge attire taking you from the beach into aperitivo hour, relaxed evening wear,  Italian bright cotton shirts and crisp white linens, colourful ceramics and some very cool local artists have also opened up shop amongst the mix. Tucked away down close to the main beach under the narrow white archways on the right hand side of Via del Saracino is an unexpected find, the ultimate chic boutique full of little luxuries such as the Emilio Pucci bikini with matching delicate kaftan’s and sarongs, the must have Mulberry handbag and the Giambattista Valli latest collection ready to step you straight from beach to the red carpet.
I remember my first visit to this humble and alluring little town in 2005 when I first discovered Antonello’s chic boutique, it seemed out of place to stumble upon such a find amongst the low key archways of Positano, following my discovery I made sure I visited his boutique every day in fear that I had missed something so special that I just had to have in my wardrobe.  This has now eluded to a regular visit to this boutique at least once or twice every year with a purchase of a  beach lovers staple from Pucci, normally a pretty brightly coloured summer scarf and anything else that I fall in love with.
Antonello is an extremely cool and polished stylist, his shop opens during the Italian summer months when the crowds in Positano are at full capacity and then closes some time mid October each year when the Autumn/Winter months are approaching.  Introduced to the boutique last year was the luscious Cire Trudon candles, and you can buy some very pretty French and Italian fragrances too.  Antonello della Mura is definitely worth finding next time you head to Positano. xmm
