Its not hard to talk about beautiful places to visit in Italy, the glorious Grand Hotel MIRAMARE in Santa Margherita Ligure on the Italian Riviera coastline is an oasis that you must experience. Incredible views from every angle of the hotel, the balconies overlooking the front of the hotel and the pool area, even the views inside the hotel with the grand high ceilings are a beautiful vision.
From the moment I arrived at the hotel I was pampered with complimentary drinks, fruit baskets and as in any good quality hotel in Italy I didn’t have to lift a finger my entire stay. The hotel has a wonderful balcony downstairs with a restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or dinner inside or out, or an early evening cocktail before heading down the road to one of the local restaurants. Attentive waiters and bar staff are always on hand to make you the most delicious mojito’s and strawberry bellini’s.

There is a picturesque pool to relax by yet my preference is to relax on the private beach lazing under the shady blue & white stripped umbrellas. Comfy deck chairs, extra large beach towels, a little bar only a stones throw away and there is a life guard nearby to shout out to if the sun gets too hot and you need some muscle power to push up your umbrella.

  The Grand Hotel Miramare also has a wonderful day spa with the most amazing masseuse and beauty therapists. I’m pleased I had my massage before bed time as the package of essential oils, dimmed lights, soft soothing music and a wonderful massage therapist who knew how to loosen up every tired muscle in my body ended up putting me to sleep for ten hours that night. A true holiday experience!
This is a lovely hotel to stay at next time you visit the Italian Riviera, and Santa Margherita Ligure is so central to everything including the unique and characteristic Cinque Terre along with other beautiful small local fishing villages.
