Laduree is a delicious escapism that famously has its macarons featured in a scene between Marie-Antoinette and Ambassador Mercy in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette – staring Kirsten Dunst and Australian actresses Judy Davis and Rose Byrne.
I’m not a sweet tooth yet the whole romanticism and tiny dreamland that draws you into the store in this beautiful cobblestone area of Rome makes you feel the need to have to taste these deliciously colourful treats. Its impossible to walk past without stepping inside to at least experience a small burst flavour.
